Paul is an internationally certified (UIAGM/IFMGA) mountain guide – one of 135 in the U.S.  Paul currently serves on the Board of Directors of the American Mountain Guide’s Association and speaks fluent German and Spanish. He is a former Fulbright Scholar (Germany 1996-1997) and former national level ski racer (U.S. Junior Development Team 1989 – 1990).   When not leading expeditions internationally in such diverse locations as: Aconcagua (Argentina), Carstensz Pyramid (Indonesia), Kilimanjaro (Tanzania), and Antarctica, Paul lives in Yosemite, California, with his wife PhD Ecologist Dr. Breezy Jackson.  Paul has worked as a supervisor for Alpine Ascents International, the National Outdoor Leadership School, and the U.S. Antarctic Program, and has notable prior work experience within organizations including: Outward Bound, the Appalachian Mountain Club, and Yosemite Search and Rescue.
